The Truth About Skills: Is Our Current Approach Leading Us Towards Crisis?

Date:

Time: to

Venue:
London

To futureproof businesses, everyone must be equipped with the ability to recognise, develop and articulate the skills they need to be successful in work. It is not a new challenge, but is one that must be tackled with increasing urgency.

Digital transformation is reshaping jobs and, for the sake of both our society and our economy, we must equip people now with the skills to succeed.

Government, education and individuals cannot do this alone. Business has a vital role to play and this event aims to help people co-create the solution. It will be led by the voices of young people, older workers and jobseekers, all of whom will share their experiences.

Guest speakers
  • John Holland-Kaye: Chair of Business in the Community’s (BITC) Employment and Skills Leadership Team and Chief Executive of Heathrow
  • David Soanes, Chair of BITC’s Education Leadership team and UK Country Head of UBS.
