Businesses recognise that they need to measure more than just financials if they are to be successful. Many organisations have looked to integrated reporting as a means of doing so, but it can be difficult to get started.
Business leaders, along with sponsors the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS) and Business in the Community (BITC) Scotland will participate in a dinner discussion on financial topics. This dinner will bring together influencers from ICAS and BITC’s networks to discuss how businesses can do better at measuring and reporting on non-financial topics, and in showing how these have a significant impact on the financial health of an organisation.
Aims and objectives of the event
Attendees will be asked to share challenges from their own organisations to both measuring and reporting on non-financial areas, and the best practice and benefits of doing so when getting it right. They will also be encouraged to consider what actions they, and their organisations, can and should take to demonstrate their commitment to the responsible business agenda, and whether they might be interested in joining BITC and using the Responsble Business Tracker®, and/or joining the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs or Global Goals) Reporting Group or engaging with the ICAS Sustainability Panel.
This is an informal dinner discussion led by BITC Scotland (Alan Thornburow) and ICAS (Anne Adrain).
